Lectio Divina is a contemplative way of reading the Bible. In a season where most of us are rushing towards Christmas, we need ways in which we can slow down and make most of our Advent weeks. Lectio Divina does this for us, as it forces us to read a biblical passage slowly and carefully. And in doing so, the Bible begins to speak to us in a new way. It speaks to us personally, and we encounter God through it. It is a practice we come to with the desire to be changed at all sorts of levels.
