Help Needed for Interfaith Shelter Dinners

Since the beginnings of Interfaith Emergency Services, Grace Church has regularly provided dinner for the shelter residents. For several years our Daughters of the King chapter has prepared and served a meal once every other month. The women of our chapter need your help to continue with this ministry.

In 1983, Grace Church was one of the founders of Interfaith Emergency Services when the pastoral community in Marion County saw a need to provide emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis. Since then Grace has supported Interfaith in many ways, from food donations to membership on their Board of Directors. The every-other-month dinner provides a hot meal for about 30 men, women and children in Interfaith's two shelters. Each Grace volunteer provides one part of the meal comprising a simple entree, vegetable, fruit, dessert and drinks. If you would like to help please contact Deacon Mary or Gail van Deusen. Our next dinner will be on May 16th.
