About the event
Step into a unique evening of faith, history, and flavor as we explore the rich tradition of Trappist beers. Brewed by Trappist monks within monastery walls, these beers are crafted with intention—supporting charitable works, sustaining the monastic community, and contributing to the life of the Church.
Throughout the evening, we’ll sample a selection of Trappist brews while diving into the story behind each monastery and the distinctive character of its beer. You’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the centuries-old traditions that shape these remarkable beverages.
To complement the tasting, we’ll also enjoy simple, hearty foods inspired by monastic life. The menu will include freshly made table bread from an Episcopalian monastery recipe, along with a medieval-style pottage that’s both comforting and surprisingly delicious. It’s a chance to experience not just the taste, but the spirit of monastic hospitality.
Space is limited to just 30 guests, so be sure to RSVP…
